Biography
Vusal Jahangir oglu Khalilov was born in 1987 in the city of Shaki.
He began his career in 2009 as a technical specialist at "ICL" LLC and worked as a leading web programmer at "Infosecurity" LLC in 2010–2011. From 2011 to 2016, he worked as a junior programmer, programmer and leading programmer in the Information and Communication Technologies Department of "Azercell Telekom" LLC, and from 2016 to 2018 he headed the company's Product and Service Development Division.
From 2018 to 2020, he headed the Digital Engineering Division of the Digital Laboratory Department at "PASHA Bank" OJSC, and from January 2021 to May 2024 he served as the bank's Chief Executive Officer of the Technology Block. From May to November 2024, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Central Bank.
On 7 November 2024, he was appointed a member of the Management Board of the Central Bank by a decision of the Milli Majlis, and by an Order of the President dated 4 December 2024, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank. He is married and has three children.
