Biography
Gular Azer gizi Pashayeva was born in Baku in 1989.
She began her career in 2011 as a cashier at the Port Baku branch of PASHA Bank OJSC. From January to August 2012, she worked as an executive in the Bank’s Corporate Documents and Protocol Support Department; from 2012 to 2013, as a coordinator for work with collegial bodies in the Corporate Secretariat Division of the Legal and Organizational Affairs Department; and from 2013 to 2015, as a legal adviser in the Legal Division of the same department. From 2015 to 2021, she headed the Corporate Secretariat Division, and from 2021 to 2022, the Corporate Governance and Administration Department.
From June to July 2022, she served as an adviser to the Chair of the Central Bank, and from July 2022 to November 2024, as Chief Executive Officer of the Central Bank. On November 7, 2024, by a decision of the Milli Majlis, she was appointed a member of the Management Board of the Central Bank, and by an Order of the President dated December 4, 2024, Deputy Chair of the Central Bank. She is married.
