How the Europa League works this season

The group stage was abolished in 2024/25. Thirty-six teams now share a single table, each playing 8 different opponents, half at home and half away. After eight rounds the top eight go straight to the round of 16, ninth to twenty-fourth meet in a two-legged play-off, and the bottom twelve are out.

When do matches start in Baku time?

European kick-offs come in two waves, 18:45 and 21:00 local time. Baku is UTC+4 and does not observe summer time, so until late October that means 20:45 and 23:00 here. Once Europe returns to standard time on 25 October 2026 the same matches start an hour later in Baku, at 21:45 and 00:00. Every time on this page is already converted.
