Minimum wage

There is no new order for 2026; the amount has not changed. There is no official figure for 2027: it becomes known with the budget package in December.

The need threshold is 300 ₼ in 2026 (Law No. 296-VIIQ, 9 December 2025). The amount of targeted assistance is calculated from it. The need threshold and the living minimum are set by separate laws; in 2026 both are 300 ₼ for the country. meclis.gov.az

Child payments

“500 manat child money”: there is no such payment
No decree or law pays every child 500 manat a month in 2026: no such act was found on president.az or sosial.gov.az. There is no monthly child benefit for everyone; payments are targeted (the table above). The only real “500” is the payment for keeping a disabled child aged 0–6 in a foster family.

What is the minimum wage?
400 ₼ a month in 2026, unchanged since 1 January 2025. The minimum unemployment insurance amount is also 400 ₼.
What is the living minimum, and how does it differ from the minimum wage?
They are separate figures: the minimum wage is the lowest pay for a full month’s work (400 ₼), the living minimum is a figure approved by law every year (in 2026 300 ₼ for the country, 317 ₼ for working-age people).
How much is ÜSY?
There is no fixed amount: it is the difference between the family’s need line (300 ₼ × members) and its average monthly income. The official page gives no upper limit; whether the law sets one is not confirmed.
