Biography
Fuad Farman oglu Isayev was born in 1982 in the Gardabani district of Georgia.
He began working at the Central Bank in 2005: from 2005 to 2009, he was an economist and leading economist at the Research and Statistics Department; from 2009 to 2015, a specialist and senior specialist in the External Supervision Division of the Department for Supervision of the Activities of Credit Institutions; and from 2015 to 2016, head of the Bank Group Division in the same department. From 2016 to 2017, he worked as head of the Financial Risk Management Division and then as director of the Risk Management Department at Bank Respublika OJSC.
From 2017 to 2019, he was head of the Strategic Analysis and Risk Management Directorate at the Financial Markets Supervision Chamber. From 2019 to 2020, he was head of the Financial Sector and Markets Analysis Division of the Economic Analysis Department of the Central Bank; from 2020 to 2024, he worked as director of the Department for Supervision of the Activities of Credit Institutions.
Since 6 January 2025, he has been Director General of the Central Bank. He is married and has two children.
