Biography

Taleh Tahir oglu Kazimov was born in Baku in 1983.

He began his professional career in the financial sector in 2004 and held various positions at Bank Standard CJSC until 2006. In 2006–2007, he worked as an auditor at Ernst & Young, and from January to April 2007, he was the Director General of Fineko Analytics and Information Agency CJSC.

In July 2007, he joined the Risk Management Department of PASHA Bank OJSC as a manager; from 2009, he served as Director of the bank’s Treasury and Money Market Department. In December 2011, he was elected a member of the bank’s Management Board, and from 2015 to 2022, he served as Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer.

On 12 April 2022, by a decision of the Milli Majlis, he was appointed a member of the Management Board of the Central Bank, and by the Order of the President dated 13 April 2022, he was appointed Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He is married and has two children.
