Biography
Sanan Hajiyev was born in 1978.
From 2001 to 2006, he worked as a junior research fellow and research fellow at the Institute of Forensic Examination, Criminalistics and Criminology Problems of the Ministry of Justice; from 2006 to 2010, he worked as a consultant, senior consultant, chief consultant and principal consultant at the ministry’s International Cooperation Department. From 2010 to 2013, he was a judge of the Narimanov District Court of Baku, and from 2013 to 2018, a judge of the Baku Court of Appeal.
Since 2018, he has been a judge of the Supreme Court, and since 2020, Chair of the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court. Since 2021, he has been a member of the Judicial-Legal Council, and since 2023, Deputy Chair of the Union of Judges of Azerbaijan. In 2023, he was awarded the 3rd Class Order “For Service to the Motherland.”
