Tofiq Temir oglu Pashayev

Tofiq Temir oglu Pashayev graduated from the Faculty of Law of Baku State University in 1993. From 1988 to 1992, he worked as a criminologist at the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan; from 1992 to 1993, as a senior investigator at the Aktau City Prosecutor's Office; from 1993 to 1995, as an investigator for major cases at the regional prosecutor's office; from 1995 to 1996, as head of the investigative section of the State Investigation Committee of Kazakhstan; and from 1996 to 1997, as head of the Investigation Department. From 1998 to 2000, he was a researcher and lawyer in the Department of Humanities of the Renaissance Research and Production Centre.

From 2000 to 2007, he was a judge of the Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Serious Crimes; from 2007 to 2012, he was Chairman of the Khatai District Court of Baku. Since 2012, he has served as Chairman of the Narimanov District Court of Baku.

By Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 26 May 2026, he was appointed Chairman of the Sumgait Court of Appeal.
