Biography
Rashad Shamshir oglu Aliyev studied at the Faculty of Law of Baku State University. In 2001–2002, he worked as a specialist in the Legal Support Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office; in 2002–2004, as a trainee at the Azizbeyov (currently Khazar) District Prosecutor’s Office of Baku; in 2004–2009, as an investigator at the Nasimi District Prosecutor’s Office of Baku; and in 2009–2010, as a senior investigator in the Investigation Department of the Baku City Prosecutor’s Office.
From 2010 to 2020, he served as a judge of the Binagadi District Court of Baku; from 2020 to 2021, he was Chairman of the Sheki Court of Grave Crimes. Since 2021, he has been Chairman of the Sumgayit Court of Grave Crimes.
By Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 26 May 2026, he was reappointed Chairman of the Sumgayit Court of Grave Crimes.
