Biography
Araz Firidun oglu Huseynov graduated from the Faculty of Law of Baku State University in 1994 and from the Faculty of State and Municipal Administration of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2003. From 1994 to 1996, he worked as a first-category legal adviser at the Garadagh District Executive Authority; from 1998 to 2000, as a specialist, leading specialist and chief specialist at the Legislation and Legal Awareness Department of the Ministry of Justice; in 2000, as an assistant to the Minister of Justice; and from 2000 to 2007, as a senior referent and chief adviser at the Department for Work with Law Enforcement Bodies of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
From 2007 to 2010, he was a judge of the Sabail District Court of Baku, from 2010 to 2017, chairman of that court, and from 2017 to 2019, chairman of the Yasamal District Court of Baku. Since 2020, he has served as Chairman of the Baku Administrative Court; by an Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 6 May 2025, he was reappointed to this position.
Since 2018, he has been a member of the boards of the Public Association of General Court Judges of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Association) and the Union of Associations of Judges of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
