Biography

Hafiz Nasibov was born in 1962.

In 1979, he worked as an installer at the Kuybyshev Metallurgical Plant; in 1979–1980, as a carpenter at the repair and construction department of the Ministry of Motor Transport of the Azerbaijan SSR; in 1982–1986, as a locksmith at the Kuybyshev Specialized Production Complex of the Rostorgmontazh Trust; and in 1986, as a secretary at the People’s Court of the Oktyabrsky District of the city of Kuybyshev. In 1988–1989 and 1990–1994, he was chief legal adviser at the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, and in 1989–1990, he was an investigator at the prosecutor’s office of the Borskoye District of Kuybyshev Region.

In 1994–2000, he was a judge of the Military Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and in 2000–2003, a judge of the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. In 2003–2007, he served as chairman of the First-Instance Chamber for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and in 2007–2010, as chairman of the Judicial Chamber for Military Court Cases.

Since 2010, he has been a judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and since 2020, chairman of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court. In 2008, he was awarded the “Progress” Medal, and in 2023, the 3rd Degree Order “For Service to the Motherland”.
