Biography
Kamala Abiyeva was born in 1979.
From 2000 to 2006, she worked as a court hearing secretary at the Economic Court; from 2006 to 2011, she worked as an adviser, court hearing secretary and assistant judge at the Supreme Court. From 2011 to 2013, she was a judge of the Baku Administrative-Economic Court No. 2, and from 2013 to 2020, a judge of the Baku Court of Appeal. From 2018 to 2020, she served as Deputy Chairperson of the Baku Court of Appeal.
Since 2020, she has been a judge of the Supreme Court and Chairperson of the Commercial Chamber. In 2023, she was awarded the 3rd degree Order “For Service to the Fatherland” and the jubilee medal “100th Anniversary of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan (1923–2023)”; in 2024, the jubilee medal “100th Anniversary of Heydar Aliyev (1923–2023)”; and in 2025, the jubilee medal “20th Anniversary of the Judicial-Legal Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2005–2025)”.
