Biography
Abdulla Karim oglu Malik-Aslanov was born in 1958 in the Fizuli District.
In 1979, he began working as an economist at the Narimanov Branch of the State Bank of the USSR. He performed active military service in 1979–1981 and, from 1981, worked again at the same branch as an economist, leading economist, chief economist and deputy head.
From February 1992, he worked as head of a department at the National Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 1996–2001, by decision of the Milli Majlis, he was a member of the Board of the National Bank, and in September 1996 he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Board. In February 2007, he was appointed acting General Director of the National Bank, and since March 2008 has been an advisor to the Chairman of the Bank. He is married and has two children.
