The Azerbaijan State Agency of Automobile Roads (AAYDA) said this to Operative Information Center-OMM.

The total length of the repaired roads is 48.7 kilometres, the agency said.

The repair work covers various parts of the capital. It aims to renew the city’s road infrastructure and improve driving conditions and the service life of the roads.

Repairs are due to be completed on 15 more streets and avenues under the programme. Work is continuing on five of them.

According to the agency, Baku has not previously carried out a road repair programme of this scale, covering all 12 administrative districts and involving such extensive asphalt resurfacing.

Once the programme is completed, road infrastructure will have been renewed on a total of 110 streets and avenues in the capital.
