PSG forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will undergo an MRI after suffering a serious injury against Barcelona in the third round of the 2026/2027 Champions League league phase. The examination is scheduled for October 21, L'Équipe reported.
The match, played on October 20, ended in a 4-2 victory for PSG. Désiré Doué opened the scoring in the 38th minute, and Barcelona’s Espart equalized in the 55th. Theo Hernandez put PSG back in front in the 72nd minute, before Lamine Yamal made it 2-2 in the 79th. Vitinha scored in the 81st minute, and Ruiz added another in the 86th.
There are concerns that Kvaratskhelia may have torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. The possibility can only be confirmed or ruled out after medical examinations. PSG said it was too early to predict the MRI results.
Kvaratskhelia has made 11 appearances for PSG in all competitions this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
