The first half ended goalless. Daniel Adjessa scored the only goal to secure the win for the hosts.
Egnatia defender Zamiq Aliyev was included in the matchday squad but did not play, spending all 90 minutes on the bench.
The result took Egnatia to 21 points and sent the team to the top of the standings. Teuta, who suffered their first defeat of the season, dropped to second with 20 points. The teams are separated by one point.
