Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said progress in talks on ending the war with the United States depends on Tehran’s seven conditions being accepted.

“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that foreign media outlets have carried the statement.

“Iran’s conditions have been conveyed to mediators repeatedly and clearly. An approach based on pressure and incentives does not affect Iran. Progress in negotiations will be possible only if Iran’s seven conditions are accepted,” he wrote.

According to various media reports, Iran’s conditions for ending the war include halting military operations on all fronts, lifting U.S. economic and oil sanctions, releasing frozen Iranian assets and ending the naval blockade. Tehran is also calling for compensation for damage caused by the war, an end to U.S. interference in Iran’s domestic affairs, and recognition of Iran’s role in ensuring security in the Strait of Hormuz and exercising control over the strait.
