Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has responded to statements by US President Donald Trump regarding potential military strikes against the Islamic Republic, asserting that Tehran is fully prepared for any escalation.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing RIA Novosti, the minister emphasized that Iran does not require external assistance to protect its sovereignty. Commenting on the threats originating from Washington, the minister stated:

"We have the capability to defend ourselves; we do not need anyone,"

Araghchi added that the Iranian leadership is ready for all possible developments in the region.

The response follows reports that US President Donald Trump received briefing documents from the Pentagon and the White House outlining strike options against Iranian state facilities and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets. US President Donald Trump previously urged Iranian authorities to return to the negotiating table, warning of military action if they refuse. The head of the White House noted that a naval strike group, led by the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, is positioned to execute missions in the region if necessary.

Tensions between Washington and Tehran have remained a focal point of global geopolitics, impacting regional stability in the Middle East and surrounding areas. Azerbaijan, sharing a border with Iran, closely monitors these developments, consistently advocating for diplomatic solutions and regional peace to ensure the security of international energy and transport corridors.
