Who is Sabuhi Sadigov, appointed head of the State Reserves Agency?

By an order signed by President Ilham Aliyev, Sabuhi Ahad oghlu Sadigov has been appointed chairman of the State Reserves Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Born in 1984, Sadigov earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and credit from Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) in 2005 and graduated with distinction with a master’s degree in 2007. In 2014, he was awarded the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation by the New Hampshire Board of Accountancy in the United States.

Sadigov began his career in the financial and insurance sector in 2005. From 2007 to 2018, he rose to the position of senior manager at international auditing firm Ernst & Young. From 2018 to 2021, he served as director of the Audit Department at the PMD group of companies and as a member and chair of audit committees at several companies.

Sadigov had served as chairman of the Management Board of the State Reserves Agency under an order signed by the President on Dec. 27, 2021. He is married and has two children.
