Emil Maqsud oglu Garayev

Emil Maqsud oglu Garayev was born on 4 August 1984 in Baku. He served in the Azerbaijani Army in 2005–2006.

From 2006 to 2009, he worked as a tax consultant at "Deloitte Touche" LLC; from 2009 to 2011, as a senior consultant; from 2011 to 2016, as a tax manager and senior manager; and from 2016 to 2019, as director for tax and legal matters.

In May–July 2019, he served as Deputy Director General of the National Revenues Department under the Ministry of Taxes; in July–August, as First Deputy Director General; and in 2019–2020, as First Deputy Head of the Main Department of National Revenues. From 2020 to 2021, he was First Deputy Head of the Baku City Local Revenues Main Department; from 2021 to 2022, Head of the Baku City Local Revenues Main Department of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy; and from 2022 to 2024, Head of the Service's Office.

By the Order of the President dated 14 June 2024, he was appointed Deputy Head of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy. He holds the rank of State Tax Service Counsellor, 3rd class. He is married and has two children.
