Biography

Metin Balasen oglu Eynullayev was born on March 22, 1975, in Baku.

He worked as a consultant at a private law firm, chief legal counsel at the Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, and chief adviser in the Corporate Governance Sector of the Ministry of Economic Development. He held the positions of sector head, deputy head of department and head of department at the Administration of the “Icherisheher” State Historical-Architectural Reserve under the Cabinet of Ministers. In 2013–2016, he served as Deputy Head of the Office and subsequently Head of the Office at the Ministry of Education.

By presidential orders, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Education on January 11, 2017, and Deputy Minister of Taxes on January 17, 2018. On May 13, 2020, he was appointed Deputy Head of the State Service for Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy, and was entrusted with performing the duties of head until a head was appointed. On August 19, 2020, he was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of Azerbaijan Investment Holding, and on May 6, 2021, Head of the State Service for Property Issues.

In 2015, he was awarded the “For distinction in public service” medal. He holds the rank of junior state service adviser; in 2018, he was awarded the special rank of 3rd-degree state tax service adviser. He is married and has two children.
