Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, is on a working visit to China to attend the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum.
The Ministry of Defense told the Operative Information Center-OMM about the visit.
Hasanov visited the production facilities of the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC). During a meeting with CASIC General Manager Chen Shaoyan, the defense minister reviewed various defense systems.
As part of the visit, Azerbaijan’s defense minister also met with China’s Minister of National Defense, Admiral Dong Jun.
The meeting focused on the current state and prospects for developing cooperation between the two countries in the military, military-technical and military education fields, as well as international security and stability and a number of issues of mutual interest.
The Beijing Xiangshan Forum is a major international platform for discussions on defense and security issues in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. It brings together defense officials, military leaders and experts from various countries.
