A computer-assisted command-staff exercise is being held in the Azerbaijani Army under the 2026 training plan.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that activities are being carried out in line with the military decision-making process, according to the exercise plan involving the Defense Ministry’s main departments and directorates, as well as the headquarters of the branches of the armed forces and the Separate Combined Arms Army.
On November 3, Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov heard reports from the headquarters via video conference.
The Defense Minister said that President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev was satisfied with the Azerbaijani Army’s performance, and conveyed the tasks assigned to the Army.
The computer-assisted command-staff exercise is being held with combat experience against modern military threats taken into account. Its purpose is to further develop commanders’ military decision-making skills and train units’ capabilities and capacities using simulators.
