Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, General Col. Zakir Hasanov, attended the official opening ceremony of the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, held on Sept. 16 under the theme “Building Consensus for Stability and Developing Security Governance Together.”
The Ministry of Defense told the Operative Information Center-OMM.
The Beijing Xiangshan Forum is considered one of the key platforms for dialogue and cooperation on international security issues. It seeks to strengthen trust and mutual understanding among states and promote peaceful solutions to regional and global security challenges.
The forum, attended by senior officials from the defense institutions of more than 100 countries, representatives of international organizations and think tanks, as well as senior military officers and prominent experts on military and security affairs, will continue through Sept. 17.
Established as a platform for international strategic and defense dialogue, the Beijing Xiangshan Forum brings together officials, scholars and experts to exchange views on evolving security challenges and opportunities for cooperation.
