US President Donald Trump has issued a significant statement regarding the settlement of the crisis in Ukraine.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the head of the White House believes that the resolution of this issue should be the responsibility of the United Nations rather than the direct involvement of the US administration.
Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, US President Donald Trump stated that he previously considered the resolution of the Ukraine issue to be one of the simplest tasks:
"I am quite capable of solving such issues. I believe that the UN, not the US, should be dealing with this process. Taking this step is essential to save human lives."
The President added that regardless of who handles the negotiations, the primary goal is to end the conflict to prevent further large-scale loss of life.
The World Economic Forum (WEF), held annually in Davos, Switzerland, serves as a global platform where political and business leaders discuss the most pressing international security and economic challenges. US President Donald Trump's remarks come amid ongoing international efforts to find a sustainable peace framework for Eastern Europe. Historically, the United Nations has played a central role in peacekeeping and international mediation, though its direct involvement in the current Ukraine conflict has been a subject of intense diplomatic debate among global powers.
