A ship caught fire in the Strait of Hormuz.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced the incident.
The agency said the fire was reported off the coast of Oman, about 9 nautical miles north of the city of Al Khasab.
The captain of another vessel spotted the ship on fire.
There is no immediate information about damage or possible environmental effects.
The condition of the ship’s crew is also unknown for now.
