The Cabinet of Ministers has approved sanitary protection zones for Akhar-Bakhar and Ilisu national parks.
Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a decision on the matter, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.
Under the decision, the sanitary protection zone for Akhar-Bakhar National Park covers 11,292.91 hectares, while Ilisu National Park’s zone covers 10,108 hectares.
The national parks were established under an order signed by President Ilham Aliyev on July 14 last year. On February 6 this year, the head of state approved their charters.
