Former Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter and Milan striker and Brazil international Ronaldo has chosen between his two Ballon d’Or awards. At the 2026 awards ceremony, he presented the prize to Harry Kane, who was named the previous season’s best player.

Ronaldo said at the ceremony that both Ballon d’Or awards he won were important to him. He said that if he had to choose, he would pick the award he received in 2002.

The Brazilian won his first Ballon d’Or at the age of 21 while playing for Inter. He received football’s leading individual award for the second time in 2002. Ronaldo was then playing for Real Madrid and had also become a world champion with Brazil.
