Ruiz, captain of Spain’s U-15 team, scored twice in a 5-0 quarter-final win over Colombia. He also scored twice in the semi-final, in which Spain beat Greece 6-2.
The attacking midfielder is known for his playmaking, vision, accurate long-range shots and ability to set up teammates in scoring positions. His playing style has earned him the nickname “Modric of La Mancha.”
Real Madrid do not intend to lose the player. The club have reportedly signed Ruiz to a contract through 2028. He developed at the Madrid club’s La Fabrica academy in Valdebebas and is regarded as one of the promising players in Spanish youth football.
