At least two Palestinians were injured early Friday when an Israeli airstrike hit a residential apartment in Gaza City, medical and local sources told Anadolu Agency.
The attacks continued despite a ceasefire that has been in effect since October 2025, according to Anadolu Agency. Sources said an Israeli helicopter fired at least one missile at an apartment in a residential building in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City, causing minor injuries to two people.
In central Gaza, the Israeli army carried out extensive demolitions of houses in areas under its control east of Al-Masdar town, alongside heavy artillery shelling in the area.
Eyewitnesses said the demolitions destroyed buildings and abandoned houses. They also reported hearing a loud explosion across wide areas of the Gaza Strip.
In the south, Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire toward tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Qizan al-Najjar and Jorat al-Lut areas, south of Khan Younis, local sources said. No casualties were reported from the gunfire.
As of Thursday, Israeli violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement had killed 1,574 Palestinians and wounded 5,687, according to the latest figures from Gaza’s Health Ministry.
Since October 2023, Israel’s war on Gaza has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and injured over 175,000, while destroying around 90% of civilian infrastructure. Anadolu Agency described the war as genocidal.
