Pezeshkian said regional countries could ensure security through joint efforts, without foreign intervention: “We are brothers with all the countries around us, and we are all Muslims. Therefore, we can help one another and ensure the security of our region ourselves.”
The Iranian president strongly criticized Washington’s regional policy, alleging that the United States allocates a large share of its military budget to arms. Pezeshkian said there was no need for the United States, which he accused of committing crimes against humanity, to come from the other side of the world under the pretext of ensuring security.
