Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick has spoken about his position at the club amid speculation about a possible resignation. He said he understood his role and responsibilities, and knew when things were going well and what needed to be improved.
“Everything is completely clear. I don’t need anyone else to tell me or show me when things are going well or when something needs to be improved. I understand the reality, and it does not concern me. I have little else to add on this,” Carrick said.
The head coach stressed that the team needed to win matches to get back on track. Asked whether the club’s management fully supported him, he answered in the affirmative: “I have a very good relationship with everyone at this club. There are no problems or disagreements. We need to win games, and that is what we are working towards.” The Sun published Carrick’s remarks.
Manchester United are 13th in the English Premier League with seven points after seven matches.
