Police have detained Ilkin Abdullayev, who is suspected of defrauding citizens by using the name of a government institution.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to “Operative Information Center-OMM”, the investigation found that he had prepared and presented citizens with forged documents purportedly issued by a government institution authorizing the construction of facilities. He allegedly obtained more than 250,000 manats in total through fraud.
A criminal case has been opened at the Investigation and Inquiry Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The investigation is ongoing.
Forged official documents and the unauthorized use of government seals can undermine public trust and cause significant financial losses. Law enforcement agencies in Azerbaijan investigate such allegations under the country’s criminal legislation.
