The Baku City Landscaping Department is carrying out seasonal maintenance and preventive safety measures in green areas across the capital.
The Baku City Executive Authority told the Operative Information Center-OMM.
It said monitoring is being conducted in various parts of the city. Specialists are identifying dead and damaged trees, as well as those that could pose a potential danger to people, vehicles and other facilities by falling or losing branches during expected strong winds.
Based on the relevant assessment by the state agency concerned, hazardous dead trees are being removed, while dry, damaged and potentially dangerous branches are being pruned.
The measures are aimed at preventing possible consequences of strong winds, ensuring the safety of residents and vehicles, and maintaining the capital’s green spaces in a healthy and sustainable condition.
Preventive tree maintenance is a routine urban safety measure, particularly during periods of adverse weather, when weakened trees and branches may create hazards in public spaces and along roads.
