Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) is taking comprehensive measures to mitigate potential challenges caused by the rainy and windy weather conditions currently observed across the country. The national railway operator is prioritizing the safety of passengers and the uninterrupted flow of transportation services despite the atmospheric pressure and precipitation.
The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by ADY that trains are currently operating according to the established schedule, with staff maintaining constant surveillance over all railway infrastructure and tracks. The agency noted that technical teams are on high alert to respond to any weather-related infrastructure issues immediately.
To ensure maximum safety in specific areas, speed limits may be temporarily reduced, which could lead to minor deviations from the official train schedule. "We advise all traffic participants to exercise high vigilance and caution when using railway crossings in such weather conditions, and we ask passengers to remain attentive while waiting for trains at stations and platforms," the statement emphasized.
Azerbaijan Railways regularly implements such protocols during seasonal weather changes to prevent accidents and maintain the integrity of the nation's transport corridors. As a key transit hub in the region, Azerbaijan continues to modernize its railway infrastructure to withstand diverse climatic conditions while ensuring reliable domestic and international connectivity.
