Ajax forward Toluwalase Arokodare has spoken about the team’s goalkeeper, Mark-Andre ter Stegen. The German goalkeeper is playing for the Amsterdam club on loan from Barcelona.
Arokodare said ter Stegen frustrates him in training: “Ter Stegen drives me crazy in training. Sometimes I get really irritated when I see him save so many shots one after another. It makes you want to hit him!” Sport.es published the forward’s remarks.
Ajax announced the goalkeeper’s move from Barcelona on August 4. Ter Stegen has played for Barcelona since 2014.
The goalkeeper spent the second half of the 2025/2026 season on loan at Girona. However, an injury limited him to just two appearances during that period.
