Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique wants to sign Barcelona midfielder Gavi, Tuttomercatoweb reported, citing El Nacional. The report says the move has come into focus after PSG signed forward Ferran Torres from Barcelona last summer.
Luis Enrique is familiar with Gavi’s qualities from their time working together with Spain’s national team, according to the report. The coach had also considered the possibility of bringing the midfielder to PSG some time ago.
El Nacional reported that Gavi could earn a place in the starting lineup under Luis Enrique and regain consistent form.
Gavi has made seven appearances in all competitions this season. His contract with Barcelona runs through the summer of 2030. His market value is 25 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.
