Israeli airstrikes destroyed two homes in northern and central Gaza late Thursday, displacing dozens of Palestinian families, according to sources and witnesses cited by Anadolu Agency.
The strikes targeted homes in the Safatawi neighbourhood north of Gaza City and the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. They came amid continued Israeli violations of a ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since Oct. 10, 2025.
In Safatawi, an airstrike destroyed a home after an evacuation warning was issued for a residential block. Witnesses said a resident received a call from Israeli intelligence ordering the block near the Yassin water desalination station to be evacuated before a strike on one of its buildings.
The warning prompted dozens of families to leave their homes in the dark, witnesses said. Residents had only minutes to evacuate, they added.
In the Bureij refugee camp, an Israeli airstrike destroyed a five-storey residential building in the Block 7 area after an evacuation warning for the surrounding residential block, sources said. The strike also extensively damaged nearby buildings and homes.
No deaths or injuries were reported in either strike, according to sources. The attacks caused widespread damage around the two targeted homes and displaced dozens of families who lost their shelter.
Since October 2023, Israel’s offensive in Gaza has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and injured over 175,000, according to Palestinian figures. About 90% of the enclave’s civilian infrastructure has been destroyed, the figures say.
