All potential risks come from beyond our borders.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks during the opening ceremony of the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, themed “Dialogue for a Common Future,” in Baku.
He said Azerbaijan had strengthened its way of life while preserving it during the period of independence:
“We have shown the whole world what we can achieve. During the years of independence, we preserved our way of life and strengthened it. We have no internal risks. All potential risks come from beyond our borders. We must always remain vigilant and be strongly committed to protecting our independence. There have been different stages during the 35 years of our independence. For most of these years, our main goal was to restore our territorial integrity and liberate our lands occupied by Armenia.”
