Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he was ready to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin together with US President Donald Trump.

Providing details about his meeting with the US president, Zelensky stressed the importance of ending the war as soon as possible.
“I think we all need to move as quickly as possible,” Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian president said it was important for the leaders to meet to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
Zelensky said he was ready to meet with Putin. According to him, Trump could work toward holding a trilateral summit involving the leaders of the United States, Russia and Ukraine.
The Ukrainian leader said that, if such a meeting took place, the leaders of the three countries could discuss the most important issues related to the war.
“I am ready for a trilateral meeting, but I do not think Putin is ready for it. He is not ready to end the war,” Zelensky said.
Zelensky said that during his meeting with Trump, they also discussed halting attacks on energy facilities as part of efforts to end the war.
“If Russia does not target our energy sector, we are ready for an energy ceasefire,” the Ukrainian president said.
According to Zelensky, the United States will convey Ukraine’s proposals to Russia in an effort to secure such a ceasefire.
The Ukrainian president also recalled that Ukraine had previously asked the United States for a relevant license to produce missiles used in Patriot air defense systems.
He said work on the issue was continuing with the relevant US officials.
The proposed trilateral format would bring together the leaders of the United States, Russia and Ukraine to address key issues related to the conflict. Energy infrastructure and air defense remain important elements in discussions over possible measures to reduce hostilities.
