Ukraine and Russia have agreed to refrain from carrying out reciprocal strikes against energy facilities.
"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that US President Donald Trump made the statement on Truth Social.
"Ukraine has agreed not to strike Russia’s energy facilities. Russia has agreed to do the same! The rise in the price of diesel fuel around the world was caused not by Iran, but by the Russia-Ukraine war," he wrote.
Energy infrastructure has been repeatedly affected during the Russia-Ukraine war, raising concerns about fuel supplies, energy security and price volatility. A sustained halt to such strikes could help reduce risks to production, refining and transport facilities, although its broader effect on global diesel prices would depend on implementation and developments in international energy markets.
