Vugar Gulmammadov, the Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts, presented the body's annual report to the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) during a plenary session of the spring session today.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the discussion focused on the Chamber's activities and audit findings throughout 2025. It was noted that the Chamber of Accounts has submitted the results of inspections conducted at three state institutions to the Prosecutor General's Office for legal evaluation.
According to the report, legal measures have been initiated based on the 2025 audit results. Investigations were launched into funds totaling 0.8 million manats, while two additional audits are currently ongoing. The Chamber of Accounts serves as the supreme audit institution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, responsible for ensuring the efficient and transparent use of state funds. Reporting to the Milli Majlis, the Chamber conducts financial and performance audits of state-funded organizations to prevent budget violations and strengthen financial discipline in Azerbaijan.
