Analytical indicators and intelligence signals pointing to preparations by the United States and Israel for large-scale military operations against the Islamic Republic of Iran are increasing.
Operative Information Center-OMM reported, citing The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), that intensifying military and diplomatic contacts between Washington and Tel Aviv have put the prospect of new strikes against Iran at the forefront of the agenda.
The WSJ, citing people familiar with the matter, reported that the White House had formally warned several US allies in the Persian Gulf to prepare for short but highly intense military operations that could begin immediately after the November 3 congressional midterm elections in the United States.
The US military contingent deployed in the region is bringing its ammunition stocks to maximum levels, while strategic and combat aircraft are being readied for possible air strikes. The article said that next month an additional aircraft carrier strike group and a Marine unit are expected to join the naval force already operating in the Middle East, which comprises about 20 warships.
CNN earlier reported similar military and strategic information, saying the US military command in the Middle East would be fully prepared to launch large-scale air and missile strikes against strategic sites in Iran within 96 hours if it received a direct order from President Donald Trump.
