Tural Rahimov defeats Nashkho Galaev at ACA 209

Azerbaijani MMA fighter Tural Rahimov won at the ACA 209 tournament in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on October 30.

The 38-year-old competed against Russian fighter Nashkho Galaev in the featherweight division. Rahimov was declared the winner by unanimous decision after three rounds. The judges scored the bout 29-28, 29-27 and 29-28.

This was the 23rd victory of Rahimov’s professional career. He has 10 losses. Galaev’s record stands at 13 wins and 11 losses.

Rahimov’s previous fights

The Sumgait representative is known by the nickname “Iron Man.” He has previously competed in Japan’s Rizin promotion and fought at the Landmark 7 tournament in Baku in November 2023.

Rahimov last competed at ACA 181 in November 2024, when he defeated Russian fighter Nikita Prikhodko in the first round with an arm submission.

In the main event of ACA 209, Tajikistan’s Faridun Odilov defeated Russian fighter Artem Frolov by unanimous decision. All three judges scored the bout 30-27 for Odilov.

Context

According to information released on October 27, Rahimov’s fight against Nashkho Galaev was included in the preliminary bouts schedule for ACA 209. At the time, Rahimov had 22 wins and 10 losses in his professional career.
