Spain’s Higher Sports Council (CSD) has referred La Liga president Javier Tebas’s remarks about Real Madrid to the Administrative Tribunal for Sport (TAD) for investigation. Tebas could be removed from office following the referral, AS reported.
Last week, Tebas compared the working methods of Real Madrid TV with propaganda techniques used by Joseph Goebbels, the propaganda minister of Nazi Germany.
The CSD has asked the tribunal to assess whether the head of La Liga breached provisions concerning public conduct that harms dignity or honor in sport. The council stressed that sports institutions must protect the values that make sport a space for respect, coexistence and fair play.
