Real Madrid’s club television channel expressed dissatisfaction with refereeing and VAR decisions during the team’s La Liga match against Barcelona. The match, played at Spotify Camp Nou, ended in a 2-1 victory for the Madrid side.
Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring in the 41st minute. Raphinha equalized in the 61st minute, before Mbappe’s goal in the 87th minute secured the win for Real Madrid. Juan Martinez Munuera was the referee.
The club’s television channel questioned why VAR did not review incidents in which Joao Cancelo appeared to step on Diomande’s foot, Lamine Yamal appeared to step on Jude Bellingham’s foot, and Alejandro Balde may have handled the ball.
“Some people say we only talk about referees when our results are bad, to distract people or do something similar. But we have just won El Clasico, and let’s say this openly right now,” the club television channel said, according to AS.
