Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez said he disagreed with Real Madrid’s critical rhetoric about referees. He said his team was not joining the debate and was showing its quality on the pitch.
“We do not get involved in arguments about referees. We are doing everything right: winning and representing the values that Barcelona stands for. We have to keep moving forward. If they use this kind of rhetoric, it only fuels controversy. Their rhetoric has become tiresome, while we are showing our true quality on the pitch,” Lopez said.
AS published the player’s remarks, citing Caze TV.
Barcelona and Real Madrid will meet in the 10th round of La Liga. The match will be played at Spotify Camp Nou in Barcelona on October 25. It will kick off at 11 p.m. Moscow time and midnight Baku time on October 26.
