Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will not attend the La Liga match against Barcelona on Oct. 25, the 10th round of the competition. OK Diario reported that no thaw in relations between the clubs is expected during the match.
As Perez will not travel to Barcelona, he will also miss a planned pre-match lunch with club president Joan Laporta.
Institutional distance between Real Madrid and Barcelona remains in place. The Madrid club has heightened tensions by submitting documents to UEFA related to the Negreira case.
In early October, UEFA confirmed it had received the material and added it to its ongoing investigation into payments between Barcelona and Negreira.
