Pakistan and Iran foreign ministers have discussed the strengthening of bilateral dialogue and regional cooperation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan released information regarding a telephone conversation between Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.

During the conversation, the sides emphasized that existing and pending issues can only be resolved through dialogue and cooperation. According to the statement, the ministers exchanged views on regional stability and the development of mutual relations, specifically highlighting the importance of maintaining continuous diplomatic contact between Islamabad and Tehran.

Relations between Pakistan and Iran are of significant importance for regional security, as both nations share a long land border and common interests in trade and counter-terrorism. This diplomatic engagement follows a period of efforts by both countries to de-escalate border tensions and enhance economic connectivity. Such high-level consultations are seen as vital for maintaining peace in the broader South Asian and Middle Eastern contexts, particularly concerning shared security challenges.
