Murad Musayev, who coaches Russia’s Krasnodar, could return as head coach of Sabah. The Russian specialist is considered one of the leading candidates for the post at the Baku club.
According to Fanat.az, Sabah’s current head coach, Valdas Dambrauskas, could leave the club at the end of the season or earlier if he receives an attractive offer from a European club.
If the Lithuanian coach departs, the club’s management is reportedly expected to make Musayev its first choice. Musayev is also said to be open to returning to the team he previously coached.
The Russian coach led Sabah from 2021 to 2024. Under his leadership, the Baku club won silver medals in the Azerbaijan Premier League for the first time in its history and qualified for European competitions.
